About

The idea got better when it became ours.

Jen had an idea. She pitched it to Lee.
It didn’t take long for it to become ours.

We met at Everton Football Club more than a decade ago and clicked straight away.

We’ve stayed friends, worked together on some cool projects since, and every now and again talked about doing something of our own.

That’s how The Coterie came about.

Experience at scale. Focused on what comes next.

Sport has been a big part of both our careers, but never the whole story.

We’ve worked inside organisations, at agencies and with businesses of all kinds, from B2B companies to some of the world’s most recognisable consumer brands.

All of that has sharpened our ability to get to the heart of what matters and know how to turn that into something worthwhile.

The standard has to hold.

One thing we’ve seen is great ideas losing what made them exciting in the first place.

Often, it’s not one big decision, but a series of smaller ones that gradually dilute the original thinking.

The opposite can happen too. If you keep asking questions and stay open, where you end up could be even better than you first imagined.

It was never going to be just us.

We’ve always believed in collaboration.

There’s something about bringing the right mix of people together that gets more out of everyone involved.

Some of the best we’ve worked with are brilliant at what they do and genuinely great to be around. We respect their judgement, value their knowledge and know the difference they can make.

They were part of how we envisioned The Coterie from the very beginning, influencing everything from the name to what we wanted it to become.

Today, they’re an essential part of what we offer.

A group of seated and standing people, their faces replaced by colourful shapes, deep in conversation.

Let’s be partners.

We’ve been part of many high-profile partnerships between brands and sports organisations.

It’s taught us a lot about what makes them succeed.

The strongest results come when both sides are committed, share what they know and value what the other brings.

So that’s our approach. We want to work with you, not for you, and be every bit as invested in the outcome as you are.

Now let’s hear about you.

Tell us what you’re thinking about. We’d love to know more.
